Housing Lake isn't another talking group—it's an intensive journey designed to produce implementable solutions. We're assembling Lake County's most influential leaders from business, government, development, and community advocacy to tackle housing from every angle.

Through expertly facilitated workshops, data-driven analysis, and presentations by leading housing experts, we'll forge a shared commitment to action that you can bring back and implement within your organization and community.

FAQS

  • Housing Lake is an initiative designed to bring key stakeholders together to create a vision and actionable strategies for increased attainable housing production throughout Lake County.

    Housing Lake is managed by Lake County in partnership with a project team of consultants and housing experts.

  • In-person meetings for Housing Lake were held at The Barn at Timber Pointe (27901 N Gilmer Rd, Mundelein, IL 60060).

    Virtual workshops were held via Zoom, with private links sent prior to each event.

    The Housing Summit was held at the Lake County Regional Office of Education (former Lake Forest Graduate School of Management), 1905 W Field Ct, Lake Forest, IL 60045.

    Future speaker series events will be held virtually—stay tuned for details.

  • We’ve identified at least one to two people from each company or organization that we’d like to hear from. If you’re on the invite list, we want you there.

    No more than two individuals from every company, organization, or municipality should be in attendance.

    However, if you’re unable to attend a meeting or join Housing Lake Coalition, please contact us.

  • Financial Support Available

    We understand that participating in this task force may create financial challenges for some members. Limited stipends are available to help cover essential costs such as:

    • Transportation to in-person meetings

    • Childcare during scheduled meeting times

    • Lost wages if your employer doesn't provide paid time for participation

    If you're experiencing financial hardship that would make it difficult to participate fully, you may request assistance by emailing communications@housinglakeco.com.

    Please briefly describe your specific financial need and how a stipend would help ensure your participation.

    Requests will be reviewed confidentially, and stipends will be awarded based on available funds and demonstrated need.
