Event #6 Overview

The final workshop on Wednesday, January 14, opened with a fireside chat featuring Jonathan Burch, Assistant Village Manager & Neighborhood Services Director for the Village of Oak Park, who shared insights from Oak Park's housing work and his previous experience in Lake County and at CMAP. Following the keynote, participants engaged in a rotating-station format, spending 6 or more minutes at each of five stations (one for each of the four foundational pillars and one for implementation planning). At each station, participants reviewed draft vision statements, provided feedback on objectives, and completed pillar-specific activities.

The workshop concluded with facilitator report-backs sharing key insights and themes from each station, followed by a preview of the February 11th Housing Summit, where the coalition will present its Call to Action to broader stakeholders across Lake County.
