Housing Lake Workshop #3 (EVENT #4) NOVEMBER 12, 2025
Event #4 Overview
On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Coalition members gathered for Workshop #3 to dive deeper into Lake County’s housing future. After reviewing data from the October meeting and Lake County Subregion Fact Sheets, participants explored the character of Lake County’s six subregions: Northwestern, North Central, Northeastern, Southwestern, South Central, and Southeastern.
In breakout rooms, participants worked through three exercises examining factors that shape the county’s housing landscape. First, they mapped opportunities and constraints across six housing factors: Community Capacity, Present-Day Affordability; Market Potential; Job Access; Land Conservation; and Other Key Factors. In the second activity, participants strategically allocated housing across the county by subregion. Finally, they explored different housing types and shared thoughts on the opportunities and challenges associated with each.
Coalition members reconvened as facilitators shared key findings from each breakout group, highlighting interesting patterns from the allocation exercise and insights from the housing typologies discussion. Facilitators outlined next steps and previewed the upcoming schedule: one final virtual workshop in December, followed by in-person Workshop #5 in January 2026, and the Housing Summit in February 2026.
